A Detection Mechanism for Cache Pollution Attack in Named Data Network Architecture

Basic Named Data Networks (NDN) security mechanisms, rely on two main key features. The first one is the caching mechanism where it manages to minimize both bandwidth usage and data retrieval delay all along with congestion avoidance by storing, in intermediate routers, contents recently demanded quickly serve future consumers’ requests. second feature NDN which stands its foundation signing each as soon released Producer gets verified requesting consumer so that makes resilient most attacks affect integrity of such content privacy end points. However, availability cache CS allows malicious consumers perform several Cache Pollution Attack (CPA) easy implement extremely effective. As a result, unavailable for legitimate increases delay. In this paper, we propose new detection CPA called ICAN (Intrusion system attack architecture) based metrics Average Hit Ratio, Interest Inter-Arrival Time, Hop Count Prefix variation. We assess simulation, using NDNSim framework, efficiency our choice used parameters. Finally, elaborate qualitative comparison between proposed solution state-of-the-art mechanisms.
